What’s the difference between a wall sticker, wall stick-up, and wall applique?

Same basic product, different names.  In order to provide you with the best selection of peel-and-stick wall products, we stock products from many manufacturers. Some manufacturers will call the product a "stick-up" or an "appliqué." We primarily refer to them as wall stickers or wall decals on our website. Wall stickers are simple to use, just peel and stick. They are easy to reposition and remove anytime.

STICK-UPS onTextured Walls:  In some cases, wall stick-ups / appliques, and self-stick borders will not adhere well to textured surfaces.  Although slightly textured surfaces seldom cause problems, WallDecorShops.com cannot guarantee that the product you purchase will stick to those types of surfaces.

What are WALLIES?

WALLIES are made of pre-pasted, vinyl coated, strippable wallpaper and are easily applied to most smooth surfaces. WALLIES come in either cutouts or murals.  WALLIES cutouts are smaller die-cuts that come in many designs.  WALLIES murals are larger-sized designs. 

WALLIES on Textured Walls:  WALLIES stick-ups adhere easily to hard, smooth surfaces like tile and glass. With textured walls, WALLIES adhere best when the texture is not too rough and the surface has been painted. Raw wood surfaces or porous, textured wallpaper usually poses a problem as the porous surface will absorb the wet glue and result in a weak bond. In this case you may want to reinforce the bond with a little spray adhesive.
